I'd say go wild!! For example you could try mixing soft shading with cel shading or just use one for one area and the other for the other area! It sounds very vague but trying out is always the best :O

Problems with *some* of modern science fields are:
1) mixing with politics 2) corrupted & greedy

Or in other words: you can maybe "trust" science but u often *can't* trust scientist!
