*sigh* Why are they still children when they're 13 and 14 respectively? I wrote them both past the end of Z, they're both still active fighters because they have so much potential! Goten especially as he's paired with one of my OCs. Great battle potential and much later two kids.

This isn’t exclusive to Goku either, it’s done to pretty much anyone with hair (I mean, that is how hair works after all)

It’s just more prominent/iconic for Goku (& Goten) because his hair shape. The messy hair for Goku specifically is very fitting given his personality
