The overall direction is close, and the colors are there, but it needs something more to make it unique.

A good example of what I'm talking about is from a pixel artist , who's done some crazy Pokemon pixel scenes like the pics below.

Obviously more simplified for a game, but the general colour palettes I find to be rather pleasant and unique.
