As I've said in an earlier thread, Corben does not over-render his figures. The intense colour is deceptive. The light areas in his paintings are typically more subdued than one might think. Convert the new cover to greyscale, and subtle modelling of the forms becomes obvious.

@SweetWuff he's not, the imperial army at the time had a large variety of uniforms, but some of the official art we have shows them wearing vostroyan style outfits - I combined that with the Solar auxilia to get this design

I never really draw my characters in their animal forms but on the occasion I do I wanted to share what they all look like! Here's the main 5, at least!
Idk if I’m the only person left who remembers #pretear , but I loved this mahou shoujo: it gave us reverse harem sentai boys, fairytale romance, a Captain Planet premise, and my girl Himeno was DRESSING. I am proud of myself for sticking with this and doing all her forms.
