Prince Rupert's Cottage, Everton from where he led the siege of Liverpool in 1644. Rupert said the town just a 'crows nest' and would be easily captured. However, Liverpudlians put up a fierce fight, and forced Rupert to admit the town was "an eagle's nest or a den of lions".
