The story arc "The Cursed Earth" that ran in the 2000AD Judge Dredd stories is great, and partly inspired by the 1977 film "Damnation Alley". If you want great post-apocalyptic comics then read the Cursed Earth, if you want cheesy B-movie level fun, check out Damnation Alley.
