Inker par excellence Joe Sinnott was born OTD in 1926; no one was more important in giving the FF their trademark sheen over decades, finishing Kirby, Romita, Buckler, Buscema, Pérez, Sienkiewicz, Byrne. The Inkwell Hall of Fame Award bears his name. Sadly, we lost Joe last year.

@PatrickZircher Green Goblin(especially as drawn by Sal Buscema...), Grant Morrison as he appeared in Animal Man, The Riddler, and Mysterio... With a runner up spot for Shocker.
I grew up reading Conan. John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala were the best pencil + inking team I’ve seen to date. Here’s a small tribute to the barbarian that cheered me up so many times!
The Wasp by John Buscema, and an unattributed photo of Yvonne Craig.

I spy with my little eye, another J.M. DeMatteis/Sal Buscema Spider-Man homage. Always a treat to see that run referenced!
Pages 🙂Sal Buscema & Jim Mooney, Jim Aparo & Josef Rubinstein, Keith Giffen & Klaus Janson, Don Newton & Dan Adkins.

This tradition in New Mutants would continue with other creations and other creators, including Warlock, Illyana’s Darkchylde iterations, Magma (co-created by McLeod and Sal Buscema) and, of course, Cable. 6/7
