A tragic and horrific tale, "Startling Stories: Banner" the 2001 four issue mini-series by Brian Azzarello & Richard Corben is my favorite Hulk story, and quintessential Hulk.

7/1/75: It's an all-SF issue of CREEPY as featured a killer lineup and clearly sold well enough for Warren to consider a regular SF book. (Unfortunately it was the crass and offensive 1984.) Jim Stenstrum & Rich Corben's "Unprovoked Attack on a Hilton Hotel" was a delight.
