Art for today is inspired by Shotaro Ishinomori's Chikkun Takkun series. Sometimes an educational comic, sometimes a crazy gag series, Chikkun Takkun is one of the most well known Ishinomori works of its kind coming out from the 80s. Colors by Ruby

My art for today is Ann Doll from Shotaro Ishinomori's Guy Punch Series. She's the android assistant of detective Guy Punch. She was originally a minor character, but started showing up more and more due to her popularity.

Some redesigns for GR Number 5. A somewhat obscure series created by Shotaro Ishinomori in the mid-'70s, which is mostly known for being one of his Group Hero series like Shonen Domei and Cyborg 009! Colors by Ruby!

My brand new stylized design is inspired by Shotaro Ishinomori's Vampila! This is one of my favorites of Ishinomori's comedic efforts because it's absolutely batty (no pun intended). Here's the censored version for now.

Marippe Yamada from Shotaro Ishinomori's Kinnaru Yatsura! She's such a stylish character, so I drew her inspired by many different chapters of the manga. She's described as the perfect girl, a tomboyish beauty! Colors by Ruby

Remember that Link to the Past manga drawn by Ishinomori?
Link wore a really cool winter coat in that manga and he's never actually shown getting rid of it.
It's just there for a while, then it's gone by the next page.

Weird.

I'm done with my redesigns of the main cast from Shotaro Ishinomori and Kazumasa Hirai's Genma Taisen. I made these as a experiment to get out of my comfort zone and come up with a stylized take on existing character designs! Colors by Ruby

715. Origin.

ヾ (≧ ∪ ≦ *) ノ 〃 AHHHHHH <3 Now open an anime dating back to 1968 ~
but I still consider it one of the best for me. And although it had several adaptations, the only one that I really like is this.

Before deciding to take a break, I still had some artwork I never posted. So for those who want to see something from me, here's a tribute to Shotaro Ishinomori's Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past! It's by far the most popular manga of his in America. Colors by

thinking about every fucking comics dude who puts racist ass caricatures in their stuff and goes "heh... you offended?" and then thinking about shotaro ishinomori of cyborg 009 went "oh shit, that's terrible, i'll change it" and changed 008's design

My new is Green Glass, with colors by ! This is yet another tokusatsu pitch by Shotaro Ishinomori that was only made into a manga for Shonen Sunday back in 1983!

Sam & Max Freelance Thief-Takers! This mash-up between Steve Purcell's Sam & Max and Shotaro Ishinomori's Sabu and Ichi was an idea first thought of by my wife . I made this artwork and colored it!

So here's mine and entry for today's It's actually a tokusatsu series that never was, Tetsumen Cross. Ishinomori pitched as a series, but it never got made. The manga version features a phantom thief called Poltergeist as the rival!
