They are also very close despite being jerks to each other like the heroes are.

Tbh that's just Tails's design. It's really difficult to make Tails look adult without drastically changing his design. Especially with the big eyes.

However I do think he does it pretty well while keeping him short. Plus him and Rouge act as equals which I think helps.

Those animations being Tails's Halloween, Knuckles's Night, and Eggman's Chaos Emerald.

Something about it just looks off.

Eh, sort of. He was inspired by events in: Tails's Halloween, Knuckles Night, Eggmans Chaos Emerald.

A form I created for him is more custom however, being inspired by the Sonic.Exe Trilogy form a little.

I have developed on him more as time went on, to where now he is.
