This was the first picture I did for ‘When Jessie Came Across the Sea’ by Amy Hest.

While not her true name, Melusine is a water spirit that is a fish or reptile from the waist down, which tries into her true form that won’t be discussed here.
In the original draft, Nasu initially had Melusine & Aurora as lovers, rather than mother and daughter.
