It's #NationalMothWeek ! Moths are cool, they're pollinators of the Joshua tree, come in way cooler patterns than butterflies, and one of my favorite subjects to illustrate. Perfect little occult insects.
Is there anything more beautiful, more pure, than pollinator bats going about their extremely important business? I think not.
Buzz buzz buzz! 🐝

What started as a simple snack stream turned into this quaint lil bee pattern! I love seeing so many pollinators out and about.
Let's protect our little gardeners!

We're gaga for the gorgeous specimens in "Histoire naturelle des lépidoptères exotiques" (1835). Written by P. H. Lucas w/ hand-colored illustrations by H. L. Pauquet.

We have loved seeing all of the #bee pictures for #PollinatorWeek. If this week celebrating pollinators has made you want to learn more about North America’s native bees, we have several resources available for you either on our website (https://t.co/VgmjYbDUUJ) or through Amazon
Pollinators are vital to maintaining healthy ecosystems. They are essential for plant reproduction. Support pollinators by creating pollinator-friendly gardens. https://t.co/gVbGctwaBR #PollinatorWeek
week 344: Flower colour is a good predictor of pollinator in the genus Penstemon; red-flowered species are likely to be hummingbird pollinated, purple-blue-flowered species are likely to be bee pollinated.

For #WorldBeeDay, we're taking up the @UN-s' call to stress how important pollinators are to the health of our global ecosystem. This illustration by Mary Leslie, with its buzzing bees, may have been intended for a children's book project.

Bees are important pollinators, helping support food security for communities globally. Celebrate bees today with "British Bees" (1866), which explores the natural history & economy of bees of the British Isles. Via @Fisher_Library https://t.co/84eWJGLwRK
Happy #WorldBeeDay ! (And someone has made a bee hotel! 👏🏻)
Celebrated on May 20th each year, the purpose of the international day is to acknowledge the role bees and other pollinators play in our planet’s ecosystems. #savethebees
What better way to highlight the importance of pollinators than with these delightful bee illustrations from Muffet’s ‘Theatre of insects' from @Amgueddfa_Lib collections #WorldBeeDay #WorldBeeDay2020
Moths in the park: moths have a crucial role as pollinators......Nocturnal pollinators strongly contribute to pollen transport of wild flowers in an agricultural landscape.........https://t.co/XB7cwURbUE (Images: BHL)
The ☀️ is shining in VA today, so here are two cheerful sunflowers – one nourishing a local pollinator in our formal garden, and one brightening the pages of “Hortus Eystettensis” (Basilius Besler, 1561-1629) in our library. Happy #florafriday🌻! #30daysofflowers #floweroftheday
Looking into the con schedule of DHFC and one that I'll def be attending is The Pollinator's Panel hosted by @WardenKiko. Can't wait to learn some pollinator ecology!
