Where I grew up there was a creek nearby. I dreamed of building a raft to set off on adventures. Having read so many books containing talking animals, I was convinced they could speak our language. Margaret Tarrant's illustration captures perfectly my childhood imagination.

One of the many reasons I love comics is because they can go so many places. They can be personal stories in B&W or massive cosmic adventures. The only limitations are the ability to get the images on to the page, and overall imagination.
