Considering how tall Gingerbrave is compared to the ancients in some of the sprite sheets, she isn’t weirdly proportioned. Her and Gingerbrave are around/basically the same height, and they’re both tall.

Biggest thing for me I feel need for improvement is probably shading/lighting.
(Also typical posing and proportion stuff but focus here is shading/lighting)

There are plenty of shows meant for kids, some that are dinosaur related, that go off on their designs. Be it Dinosaur King or even Dino Dan. Are you serious? Here's Dinosaur King's Tarbosaurus. Compared with their Rex. Subtle differences in proportions and lacrimal crests.

Sonic becomes a Reploid! I'm still working on the right one, which should be more within the proportions of a Mega Man X boss. Maybe he could use more elements from Turbo Man, the Shisaroids or Hedgeshock from ZXA, but themed around thrusters?

Thumbnail decided, it was time to start on progress. Unlike my usual painting process, I knew I had to prioritize iconic shapes and readable silhouettes for this one over my recent go-to of Weird Lighting, haha.

First step was a cleaner sketch to establish proportions!

Many people talk nowadays of how the Genshin Impact girls suffer from "Fanart gaslight" by giving them exaggerated proportions that don't align with their actual bodies in-game, but I find that Touhou still is the most fascinating, older and funnier example of that
