Last of my Powers flashbacks for now... Cover to V2 issue 4,@Oeming art... I was experimenting with digital paint brushes on the version on the left...the one on the right was the final. I see many flaws with my painting, but that's okay, I was learning.

General tips:
Base the look and colour palette of the character on the location of the character. Don’t make a pirate oc if your story is in the Wild West unless you have a reason. Don’t give a character too many powers and no flaws. Don’t give too many thing to a character
Amy and Sally both have their strengths and merit. Likewise, they also both have their respective flaws and not-so favorable aspects.
Some may like them, some may not - and that's inherently ok. This doesn't need to be a "Amy vs Sally" thing either. It's not an ultimatum.
