The Amazing Spider-Man (1966-May)
A new super-villain is spawned “When Falls the Meteor!" Script Stan Lee, Plot-Penciler-Inker Steve Ditko. Nearing the end of his run, Ditko’s plots and villains (The Looter) are much more pedestrian than his earlier work on Spider-Man. 3/5

Quatre nus by Sanyu fetched $33 million at last week. The "Chinese Matisse" combined Chinese and Western stylistic elements. Unrecognised and destitute at his death in 1966, years later his work was rediscovered and recognised for its artistic and cultural value.

Thor (1966-May)
Thor recovers in Asgard and Hercules faces “The Power of Pluto!" Script Stan Lee, Plot-Penciler Jack Kirby, Inker Vince Colletta. As much as I like him, Kirby devotes a few too many pages to Hercules, before Thor joins the fray in this battle-filled ish. 4/5
