so did some studying with a reference, at first it was just of anatomy, but then after i tried to practice lighting, i learnt that bright yellow is a god awful base color for yellow/blue lighting cuz contrast or smthn idk😭

Mio Nishizono is an old fave of mine, and still my favourite Key girl. I love her she contrasts the rest of the cast. Everyone else is so full of energy, but she is so quiet, soft-spoken, gentle and calm.

I began with the work that’s closest to my heart, the WIP for my ORIGINS collection.

The image I chose is AI, representing Eos, goddess of the dawn. Dawn is a moment of contrasts, and transitions.

I felt she had something in common with the OG.

There's something inherently satisfying when I draw shadows from scratch, and in return, I convert a monotone part of the map into one with depth and contrast.

Genuine Undead

A recognizable universal icon like a skull but on steroids. Awesome shades. The depth and the contrast are top tier and the traits and types are amazing. Love every on of them. All in just 24x24 grid. That's pretty hard to accomplish.

whether I shoot film or digital my final step is in Lightroom. I will adjust contrast exposure & saturation. I will never use masking. the double exposures always exist entirely & fully interact with each other. These are just my rules - not judgements - limitations are crucial.
