Character 5: Spring

Named after The Forever Spring, Spring is a Dreamer in Boki Village. He and Boki are close childhood friends, and Boki taught Spring how to be a Dreamer: draw maps, plan adventures, and communicate with Adventurers both at home and away in their World.

SMILE!  'Cause sometimes you just gotta!

I thought since so many folks liked my last piece, I'd share a more positive one to go along with it.  More fun with gradient maps and playing with shapes!

Playing with gradient maps and listening to heavy metal. I think they tend to have the best cover album art.

This was May's monthly illustration suggestion from my patrons and is about 14 hours of work and experimentation. I tried working from monochrome to colour for the first time to improve my values and learned how to better apply gradient maps. I feel like I learned so much!

Working with gradient maps have given me an unhealthy obsession with making gradients now just to see how she looks with different colours. It's fun, but I'm not getting any real work done. LOL
