because i like messy coloring and rendering something for me is just slightly adjusting the hue over and over. also the shading and lighting helps a lot. and even then my shading is just a multiply layer and my light is just an add-glow layer. and its cel shading too

this is how i used to shade

i would get a pure red like a full neon red and just "Shade" then put the layer on multiply

it kind of worked but it still lookedr really bad

kalau aku pribadi biasanya suka ngedobel base layer pakai warna base yang dibuat jadi multiply, terus untuk foldnya bisa pakai warna yang lebih gelap dan buat finishing bisa ditambah light effect 😊

Aaaaand a couple more in between steps for those who are curious! Basically I just render out a greyscale version of the model. Put on some color with multiply layers. Draw in the character w/ greyscale + multiply color layers. Then paint over everything!!

kalau aku pribadi nder itu di copy layer, buat multiply atau warna yang lebih gelap, dihapus setengah terus diblend, baru habis itu dikasih finishing dengan warna yang lebih gelap dari warna sebelumnya =w='' maaf kalau agak ribet nder

here's a close up of how the tool sketches with strokes, I like layering them and then when colouring, setting the sketch to an overlay or multiply. It gives it some good depth.

you see that areas close to the skin?
I usually airbrush a yellow/orange with the layer set to Normal and the shade one (multiply) above it
I use the watercolor transparent brush on CSP and the shade is usually purple or something like that
