So thanks to I'm left thinking of cybernetic moogles (sorta like these pics) with wireless poms, connected back by arcs of electricity. They wirelessly charge by getting close to pom-pom towers scattered through the city, so there's always moogles gathered 'round them-

I enjoyed the overall theme of growing up in GX, and the minor themes that occupied each of its arcs. The plot withing those arcs itself kinds fumbled for a while though. Very solid second half, good shit.
