was a fan of other artists and made personalized versions of their art making what he called "translations" of their work. "The Drinkers" is from Daumier while the "Peasant's at Rest" is after Millet. Both were b/w prints he converted into unique full-color originals.

Have been studying the portraits works of some watercolour artist I admire, this was the result! from

contains yellow stars that are stylized flowers. The "star/flower" concept (and title of the painting) was inspired by a key passage in the novel where flowers inhale the perfumes of night just as we absorb the radiant beauty of the stars.
