For the #monkiekidfolklore I drew Lady Bone Demon as “La Catrina”! She’s an Mexican traditional character of Día de Los muertos <33 I really liked how it turned out since it fits her really well.

Peach Blossom Colony is a story written by Tao Yuanming, a scholar born in more than 1000 years ago. In his colony, people from different backgrounds gather together and there is no hierarchy. People appear in an ideal state of equality and harmony.#Folklore

According to Norwegian folklore, mermaids appeared to sailors before storms at sea. Legend has it that sailors who were so captivated by the mermaid's beauty that they forgot to prepare for the storm, would drown when the bad weather hit.
In Ukrainian folklore, Topelnik is a malicious spirit that lives in the water. It catches people by their legs and drags them all the way down to the bottom.

Some 2 year old edits of Yako as Daki and yassified Tsuchigumori as Lady Muzan🥀🕸🕷
(I like the idea of renaming them into Inari and Jorogumo in these forms because of Japanese folklore.)

In Scottish folklore, the cait sith (fairy cats) were believed to haunt funerals and steal the deceased's soul. During one tale, however, a funeral procession of cats is seen carrying a coffin topped with a little crown. This is why Final Fantasy VII's Cait Sith wears one.
Trying to draw some norwegian folklore creatures whatever-you-wanna-call-'em. Rn I've got sketched out a Huldra, working on a Nisse, and might also either draw Nøkken or a Troll.
It's nice trying to draw these guys :>

#FolkloreSunday - Celtic Phantom queen Morrígan was a magician who could shapeshift into anything as seen during her meeting with the hero Cuchulainn.
Her identity is still shrouded in mystery, but she may have been a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann.

An unknown forest being showed up in this painting. To some, he might be scary, but for me, he is a Protector who keeps the fire alive and opens portals to other worlds…🔥👩🏻🎨

#FolkloreSunday Circe the sorceress, by Waterhouse, 1911. Everyone is psychic to some degree. Magical or divinatory practice is a training of an innate universal capability in order to direct it for conscious use. This cannot be taught, only learned. Circe sits in solitary study.
There are so many but heres some:
Vincent Valentine, Edgy, thats it
Darksiders aesthetic in general, I really like the over-exhagerated shapes and weapon/armor design.
Okami aesthetic. Ink outline and japanese folklore? I'm in!
Rakan and Xayah.. I LOVE THEM https://t.co/ea8d9xf345
First record of Merlin is Geoffrey of Monmouth's "History of the Kings of Britain." Geoffrey based Merlin on the Welsh prophet Myrddin, from 100 years after King Arthur, but had him perform magic previously attributed to Arthur's father Uther and uncle Ambrosius.

Divs are demonic creatures of Persian lore, described as having human-like bodies, horns on their heads, & tusks like that of boars. They are powerful sorcerors, capable of inflicting people with nightmares, but can be bound by iron rings. #FolkloreSunday
