The version without the veil!
Hopefully the colorful sheen on his scales and wings looks right XD I knew that in the finished piece with the veil, many details are destined be lost, but it's still such a blast to paint!
-Out of the darkness, into the light-

The scales were so much fun to paint! I will post the version without the veil later so more textures can be seen XD The design is just *chef kiss*

I’m looking back of the trailer for the new Gen 9 Pokémon, and even though they’re still using the same 3D Pokémon Models like from X & Y, I did notice GF did update the quality for Pokémon like the scales on Serviper, Larvitar’s skin, Magaemite’s polish metal and Lucario’s fur.
finished with my February slots, so I'm opening some for March, especially considering recent events in my life! Please contact via DM or email: scaleshaper@gmail.com

And I thought doing crows scales were difficult... this next project is proving to be a challenge...
I have just introduced different Scales of Governance when playing with Teams, Squads, Towns, Armies, Empires, etc. rather than individual characters.
All numbers are little, smooth and logically consistent with each others, yet retaining realism with a simple rule.
To be tested!
I tried another different style. I used to do Manga/Anime style when I was younger; it seems some things never leave you.

Still Making progress! Took a bunch of attempts to figure out how to do the scales things. Had hopes for being able to sculpt them in with a stencil, but it just didn't look right.
Also made a fancy starship to go with it!
Okay sooo this is what I came up with for like my persona? They’re a red panda & dragon with blue fur/scales :D
Now to make a header and ref sheet for them TT
I’ll add a more human looking version of them~!

Did I ever share my guy. You know those fursonas that are based off of characters in terms of design? Yeah.
