@MarcusLarry627 Sort of pipe dream of mine is for Sonic humans to look like Bengus' artwork, of all things, but i get that it'd probably look off alongside Robotnik lol. You really hit the spot tho! Those would be perfect.
@Shockdingo If they want to go for a more cartoony, even cel shaded look, then the perfect reference is Bengus' art circa X-men vs Street Fighter. You don't need any more colors or fine details than this. You absolutely need these incredibly subtle, refined shapes though!

I haven’t drawn #SpiderMan since high school when I drew the Raimi version. Decided to take a spin on the classic suit with a little Bengus influence.
Side note: I now realize that drawing that web design is not as easy as it looks. Definitely had to take some liberties.
@Sordatosp @PlinaGanucheau All of the designs from Marvel themed fighters from Capcom feature concept art from the artist, Bengus. Best way to recognize his design aesthetic, give games like "Street Fighter Alpha" a look.
Their art is a bit slimmer nowadays but it's still pretty easy to identify.
@PlinaGanucheau Bengus' Rogue is definitely my default fav Rogue design.
