#FolkTaleWeek day 2, #Dream. I was having a hard time thinking of a folktale with a sleep element, aside from Snow White & Sleeping Beauty. Finally settled on Princess and the Pea. Proud that I stayed away from animal interpretations and drew people! LoL #kidlit #folktaleweek2021

Fly Me to the Moon ~
Day one theme: Moon. Inspired by the Japanese Otsukimi folktale, which is about a kind rabbit who went to live to the moon. #folktaleweek2021 #folktaleweek
#Folktaleweek is here! Did you know that bottled moonlight floats? #kidlitart #illustration

Happy Folktale week!
This piece was inspired by Finnish lore. The aurora borealis was described as a fox running so fast across the snow that it created flames in the sky. They called this phenomenon “revontulet” or “fox fires.”

Folktale week has arrived! Here’s my take on Day 1: Moon 🌙 #folktaleweek
Really delighted it is #FolktaleWeek again. Today's prompt is #Moon, and I went with #Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon, the hunt, and all wild things.
