Just noticed something about the new IDW Sonic characters. They both have powers based on Sonic and Tails's fears. Because Sonic has Hydrophobia and Tails is canonically scared of lightning.

I wonder if this was intentional or not. Cuz of so it's a neat touch.

Tails' Skypatrol was originally not a Sonic game, with this character implying it may have been a Mickey Mouse game.
