I don't know why but I just find Garurumon and Mizusar somewhat familiar to each other

They both have large jaws and have the same color of blue on their pallete

Idk🤷‍♂️

Regardless, I find it a great comparison. Garurumon is one of my fav Digimon and Mizusar is really great too

Today's Pokémon is mastiff. They are always scowling in an attempt to appear intimidating, but they are rarely taken seriously. Their jaws are tough enough to crush rocks...maybe they should lead with that?

This is wrong. The upper dentition made close contact with the lower whorl to sharpen the teeth and effectively cut prey, so both jaws are pretty narrow. This is shown in the preserved jaw cartilages (especially in figure D).

Those who walk along beaches are frequently greeted by a Shallowshark Wormbeast, its beaked jaws either patching up the footprints of travelers or ripping apart those who would disturb its tranquil domain.

I’ve put a few of my original paintings for my Jaws and 2001 posters and a TWBB inspired print up in my store. Check them out here https://t.co/il4jRkE42n

• TW: blood splatter on jaws, clothes.

Here's my part of an art trade! It made for some good practice and in the end I like how it turned out!

This was my reference image for the sculptors. We liked the jagged cutting edge & thought it looked quite scary! If there is no fossil known, you have some leeway as to how you reconstruct things, & ants cut through tough plants, so Arthropleura jaws could have looked like this.

😱 After some iteration, we landed on a more frightening approach featuring split jaws and a gaping maw . . .

. . . though we still think it's pretty cute. ❤️‍🔥

❓If you had one as a pet, what would you name it?
