A-shu the Qianzhousaurus is a tyrannosaurid dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous. Its fossils were discovered in Jiangxi, China. It was about 9 meters long and different from most tyrannosaurs of its time.

Somewhere in a forest in Late Maastrichtian China, a lone female Qianzhousaurus makes her first kill in almost a week...
I said I would be making more #PrehistoricPlanet fan art, and I'm gonna make good on that. Figured I'd start with one of my favorite dinosaurs from the show.
We describe Qianzhousaurus as ‘about 30 ft long’, which is a bit longer than what’s usually given (23 ft). However, we confirmed with @SteveBrusatte that this length is perfectly acceptable… [skull images from Lü et al. 2014: https://t.co/QLkaLhobyY] #dinosaurs
I was inspired today to do a few sketches of Qianzhousaurus, one of my favorite Tyrannosaurids, because of the wonderful last episode of season 1 #PrehistoricPlanet I hope everyone feels inspired by this amazing docuseries!
@KingRexy328 @frank___furter Probably not. While it's possible they shortened everything a bit to reflect a more mature individual, Qianzhousaurus has a deeper back of the skull than you would expect, and this view is rather foreshortened

Currently I’m undergoing a lesson in torture. It’s called “digital painting.”

Goofing around with some different brushes. Qianzhousaurus has a really cool design, the devs for Jurassic World Evolution really know how to bring that “Jurassic” style to their dinosaurs.
