Here's a thread of the process on the mythical Korean Tiger freebie I just distributed, for those owners who may be interested!

First up is the blocked out shape with metaballs in - these are malleable, dynamic blobs. Great for basic shapes.

It's a metaball animation loop with some displacements on them. The mesh is a total mess, but it works with the material I use for it as I can hide all the mistakes in the dark areas 😂

So tonight I learned what Metaballs are and how to use them in blender to make stuff like hands, and HOO BOY my dudes is that a game changer!! It's ridiculous how much fun that is to play with, and I think his lil mitts came out pretty good for a first try!
