it's actually a super easy method I figured out!! first I color the base kinda flat, then I put white blobs on a layer set to overlay, then I use a leaf brush on a masking layer on that overlay layer, and then add motion blur to the leaves! it's super simple and looks great!! : )

Usually, I paint shading and highlight separate layer not paint on one layer because I'm lazy to toning color
