I don't know If I'll be that much help because rendering hair is one of my weaknesses, but I assume you want to approach realistic style for the hair/strands rendering, yes? for example, like this one? (arts by: @/wataboku)

What can u guys suggest I do to better translate the look of the hair/strands over to the final thing? I really do like how the hair looks in the sketch part of my drawings, but I feel that I can never really get the full look/effect once done?

every month or so i bring up my „caleb is dell‘s bird“ idea, i cant stop thinking about it.
it looks beat up, it has a crooked beak, two hair strands similar to eda and dell, blonde (??) eyebrows and wings, a scar similar to belos, luz‘ light brown eyes that i suspect are caleb‘s

We haven't gotten many colored images yet so I initially assumed it was just a lighting effect. But now it seems Okarun's hair has gotten more blue strands over time as a result of his abilities or something else. I think it's a concious choice which holds meaning.
