This furtive little creature is Nodontoraptor australis, a descendant of derived #Troodontids. Dwelling in the subtropical open forests of Late Eocene Texas, Nodontoraptor was named for one surprising anatomical feature: a completely toothless beak! #dinosaurs #speczoo
WIP very early stages of this reconstruction of the yet unnamed purportedly troodontid from the Late Jurassic Morrison formation often referred to as “Lori”. It is basically still a sketch at this point but I am starting to see how I want it to look #paleoart #sciart #dinosaurs

Dinovember Day 19: Troodon. Trust me. These dinos are not to mess with, with the biggest brain of all dinosaurs, giving them human-like intelligence and their big eyes giving them binocular vision. #DrawDinovember #Dinovember #Dinosaurs #Troodon
Half-hour speedsketch 3 featuring Arctodus, Alaskan Troodontid, Hyperodapedon( what my smiles look like ), and Temnodontossurus
Growing up all my hand-me-down dinosaur books depicted large lumbering reptiles living in a hot climate with their tails dragging on the ground. My 10 yr old mind would have been blown to see something like this swift Troodon living above the Arctic circle. #paleoart #dinosaurs

Gesture drawings for another fictional dino from my book. This is Krasol, some kind of bigass piscivore raptor/troodon thing. Not worrying too much about anatomy here, just getting the gist of his color scheme and range of motion.
“I'm genuinely surprised that you rarely (if ever) see Troodons reconstructed with facial disks, considering that they had asymmetrical ears and all. That and their big, forward-facing eyes and huge brains (for reptiles)...they were practically owls.”

For #FossilFriday: #Paleoart of Tusoteuthis, a giant coeloid from the Late Cretaceous, meeting Troodon on a beach.
Quick & dirty Troodon sketch - just wanted to try out a quail-like colouration!
