#Paleonusantara day 26: Sphyraena crassidens
Sphyraena crassidens is a species of barracuda from Miocene to Pliocene epoch. Its fossils was found in Indonesia, from Sulawesi to Java. Judging from its teeth, it's about as big as pickhandle barracuda (120-150cm).

Quetzalcoatlus northropi
One of the largest pterosaur. It's hard to determine its exact size because of its fragmentary fossils and bizarre proportions, but it's roughly the size of a girrafe. Despite its size, it's only weighs about 200kg.

Some of the largest carnivorous fossil taxa widely known to public.

Onchopristis numida, a largest species of sawskate.

And yes, many people think Helicoprion about the size of tiger shark or great white, while they can grow much larger. It's likely the largest paleozoic animal ever, along with the related Parahelicoprion. This particularly large specimen is based on 60cm wide tooth whorl fossil. https://t.co/G5icISuxet
I see, so it's #PortfolioDay today?
I draw whatever i want, from holo ID to paleoart and fishes.
Aw, in 2024 I haven't made any paleo render... I guess it's time to do them again 🦖
📝 I'm open for suggestions! And I'll see what I can do~

Parahelicoprion and Helicoprion, or "buzzsaw sharks". In fact they are more related to chimaera than to sharks, though still fairly distant. Both are largest animal in the Permian and possibly entire Paleozoic era, estimated at between 9-13m long. https://t.co/ENDNWRojUX
Helicoprion
A giant permian holocephalan fish.

Bagarius gigas, a large extinct species of sisorid catfish from the Eocene West Sumatra and Java. The fossil is fairly fragmentary, but it is estimated at 1.5-2m long, just like the extant Bagarius lica and Bagarius yarelli.
