I just explore I forget the name of the brush but it looks like this it’s more of a textured brush and it’s in the artistic section of procreate I just love how it looks but I might try airbrush again because I like how smooth it is

8° In finishing touches I like to add hair strands( I always do this step at the end of the drawing) Then you add hair strands in the colors that you used in the hair( using inkpen hard) and lastly i like to paint line art using Alpha Lock and AirBrush.

Here’s some line art practice, coupled with some shading practice. I decided that I’d try and use an airbrush for shading this time, and I’m really liking how it turned out.

Some Procreate airbrush experiments! Heavier reference use for the hot comb, less so for the cowrie. I love portraits, but doing random symbolic objects has been fun🎨

Even demigod needs (office) jobs! (Ignore me I’m just playing around with photoshop airbrushes!)

these pieces all made extensive use of the airbrush for shading and extra detail and even though there's probably Better(tm) ways I'm super happy with how the airbrush tool made them look in the end. It adds a really nice glow and softness that I like

I used the water color brush and blur to color the blush and I really like it! Looks better than airbrush since airbrush makes it a bit choppy

WIP shot of the main cover for issue 7. While airbrushing served me well for issues 3-6, taking these covers a more painterly route has been really satisfying and lands on that copic-like look I’ve been trying to nail down.

Actually the only layer mask in question is this one here, which I’m using to soften the transition between the blue of her tail and her skin tone. Originally I had the idea to let the blue run up her back but I thought it looked a bit harsh so airbrushing in a mask tones it down

Lowkey considering using the airbrush tool more often for lineart.

Someone please... help him. Get him a hairbrush, or something.

With the puzzle cards, it might not be as easy because of the extra detail (ie, the lighter color airbrushed on for a lighting effect). It would probably be better to use plain, reference art work

I'M REALLY SORRY i just imitate what i like from my favorite artist
but uhhh

I use airbrush with yellow/orange/skin color on clothes close to the skin

and

i use two colors to shade skin usually pink/salmon and above it a blue or purple

so i usually like to think of hair as ribbons when i'm shading, avoid trying to shade by individual strand because that can result in thin hair (unless thats what you're going for.)
i also use an airbrush and put the skintone lightly over the hair around the face to make it soft
