2/2 The resulting patterns are really interesting and somewhat unexpected. Currently naming them in a similar fashion to tiling patterns so a {4,3} Stitch is a set of squares stitched together with equilateral triangles.

In 1880, Burne-Jones made this design for an embroidery also for the church at Mells. Frances Horner stitched it, and it now hangs near the Peacock memorial - her version is rather faded but gorgeous still.
