I also used the default airbrush in CSP for the essentials

aaaand that's everything I used for this kind of quality, it's not as amazing as the other top tier webtoons but it's kinda okay.. so i guess it's okay, yes! yes?! ✨✨✨

Yow! Do you prefer Nicolai with beard or nah? 😬
convince me to halt using airbrush, so, I did a little challenge for myself but I can't avoid using it since it is the only weapon I am comfortable to use with. (Gasakit ako ilong) ✨🔥

Quick update! Scrunched in the face, made the eyes larger, changed the layout of the nose, and hit a quick airbrush and TA-DA, no more Melania knock-off LOL. It's amazing how proportion is soooo tied with likeness in portraits.

Remember that phase Activision went through where the covers for their shooters were all heavily airbrushed photos of some guy holding a rifle at an angle

Dont use black for shading unless ur shading black
Use multiply for shading and add for lighting
I don’t recommend using airbrush for shading
I use multiple colors when shading so it doesn’t look boring
I use fade pen for the bigger parts and dip pen for some strands

Next, we'll quickly follow the general shape of the main channel with our airbrush, to give a nice, dim colored glow.

decrease the pen size a fair bit for the main branches, don't really need to be super detailed. Go down the main channel a few times if you want it to be bright

One of my goals lately is to add 'dynamics' or 'motion' to my stuff, so here's a thing trying out using 'mixer brush smudges' as motion, with some weird tilted camera and very-visible brushstrokes! Love using airbrushes for 'out of focus' things lately

You can say this is a sponsored post! requested a Anii pic.
And I think I promised to share it ... I think. So it’s very clean drawing compared to when I airbrush.

I use a cloud brush pack, but i only use the smudge brush often.

Basically use airbrush and start with very big, fuzzy shapes, then work your way to the details. Always start with light colors.
A smudge brush like the one I use can make really good swirls and puffs like this!

Day 190| Another commission to add to the pile! ALt version is just a test using selection tool + airbrush

uncracked ver because I spent ages trying to emulate that airbrushy colouring style that was super popular in mid 2000

Tried out a different way of rendering! It's a mix of cel shade and painting, along with some airbrushing too
Featuring my beloved angel OC because she won Hunger Games in a server

Sometimes I think about how I used to do this really painty kinda style coloring but it was really time consuming so I switched to 'lazily' just throwing cell shade on and softening it with an airbrush and not only is it so much faster and easier but like,,, my coloring improved

When it comes to photoshop brushes, I wouldn’t stress over what brushes to use. You can make a lot of good stuff without custom brushes. I used the basic PS brush and airbrush for about 90-95% of these and maybe a blender and splatter brush for the rest of the 5-10%.

For chibis I love using a chalk like tesxture something rough! So I use the Derwent Sketch brush and then coloring is the watercolor one!

For non chibi, I outline with the dry ink brush or Derwent depends how I want it to look! Then for coloring I use the airbrush!
