One MTG card illustration I rarely get asked about is for 'Reign of the Pit'- a favourite of mine from back in 2013.
I painted it wider than required. Initially called 'Insidious Offering'- an interesting and more evocative title.

he's based off of the golden-tailed sapphire hummingbird! despite the cold colour palette, he's a fire unit (b4 a3) & likes to make bombs :]

Oh god here we go, I'm doing the meme.

Jack originally came from my childhood Minecraft character. Initially I had artist just make it up honestly but this is the first attempt at ironing out his design.

This was before the noms and tums, makes me shudder.

They also seemed to have colored in the neural arch of cervical vertebra 10. They might have removed it because it turned out to not be what they initially thought or they had doubts and removed it to avoid inaccuracy.

I love this series so much it initially inspired me to do a novella I called Zap Recap where Lee works for a zapfish farm

But I spiced it up by having him challenge the established ways that the company keeps their livestock

No as far as I can tell, the ebony blade predates Elric by 6 years and in America. The curse aspect was initially just a pure of heart test and later writers made it darker as time went on the Dane Whitman version actually cites Shining knight as the major influence https://t.co/o7areRU6CG

Just to give a sense of what a glow up my art went through from doing C Team shit ALONE, in 2019 I redid a piece I had initially drawn two years before. I should redo this again for the finale maybe…

initially it was inspired by pkmn and a friend, drawn in flash with really concentrated colors in my younger days, but i steadily branched further away from that, fast forward to recent times and i've pretty much entirely colorpicked his pallete from microsoft paint lmao

I initially only wanted to draw Jean in hanfu, but then I had to draw Lisa too because together they are too strong and I can't separate them

Undecided on these two variants. Initially for Impero I had thought of a darker and meaner tone, but even white clothes with red hair is not bad at all

Jo-Toy went by Jackster initially, he was my first attempt at a jester OC. I really liked em. But then Slazzo entered the picture and he basically blossomed into one of my best.

At that point Jackster kinda began to fall off from my own eyes.

The QRT'd one was from stuff I made this year!

But yeah here you go, including some of the best since I initially did want to start as a muscle artist (my early posts can vouch for that, and yeah chest goals too LOL)

Wait, so... Adam was going to be put in Squad 2 initially, but Theresa decided against it because the leader is very dangerous.

And Bronya is the *Acting* Captain of Squad 2, so it can't be her.

There's... there's no way, right...?
