Gex 2: Enter the Gecko (PS1; 1998)

Although the references are dated and were never that funny, Gex 2 remains an extremely addicting platformer to me. The levels are fun and colorful and the perfect level of challenging. It's a game I can pop in anytime.

Anyone ever realize Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure ripped off a lot of things from the Aladdin video game?

Among other things, both games are acrobatic platformers - visualized with a hand drawn aesthetic -where you use a melee weapon + throwing projectiles for combat.
