The furry one was concept for an idea I had about printing drawings on photo paper (was very successful)

Mahoro & katsuma look like kacchako kids. It’s sort of foreshadowing in my opinion. First of all, the hair. Theirs are literally combinations of the two’s in color and SHAPE. Look at the way their hair frame their faces & their small tuft of bangs directed to the right.
