I thought about paralax since everything is on layers, but it can be a bit of a pain to mockup in aseprite. The double outline might create some undesirable tangents if the layers scrolled in paralax as well.

Environment concept art done early on for The Last of Us: Part 2. Included the simple 3D mockup, back in 2017 I kept the 3D very simple as I wasn't very proficient with it.
