It’s been a hella long time since i stepped out of my comfort zone. And i thought this year is time to change it and my art. So here’s a first try since forever using colors and not layer mods. I always color with Multiply and Overlay.

Well I ended up finishing it!!! I really wanted to test out the brushes and pick my own colours without using Multiply and it worked out!.. I think lmao

Yes Yes, I had to re-upload, his hair looked wonky due to the fact I forgot to change the normal setting to multiply. Anyway, I drew this due to seeing the movie again last night and I have been dying to draw these two

Here it is with just the hints and again after using the auto colorize with no additional rendering/multiply layers

doing a lot of tests with baking & processes!
here are some WIPS! was trying out my teammate's process (Duy Khanh Nguyen, Solar Eclipse Leona on ArtStation) of adding Gradient Maps on top of AO on Multiply & back to black spec bakes!💙
starting painting tonight!

Also! you can play around with the little effects tab. When the AI blends everything, it's set to "Multiply" where "Normal" is. But with "Normal", you go from the lineart to a painted look! OoO

I decided to gushy mine up and ended up with a lovely piece!

Got around to add colour to this! And a hood, since she definitely would've been wearing one in the scenes she was in. Since the sketch was so detailed I took this as an opportunity to experiment with Multiply. It's a feature I still don't quite... understand... but I had fun.

I've only started trying this out recently, but what I do is scan the sketch, darken the contrast on it, add a new layer and set it to "multiply", and do the coloring on there.

Working on some flatting. (There's a wee shading multiply layer on top)

Practicing hair and the multiply layer.

me: for this comic I'm gonna put more effort in the lineart so I'll just do flats for everything
me: maybe I can add some shading in the hair
me: might as well shade every t h i n g
me: with gradients
me: multiply layers -
me: L U M I NO S I T Y
me: oh no

Here's my first drawing! Since I didn't have a nice skin colour, i made her a cute alien! Also, I used the blending mode multiply for the shading!
