things you won't see in the finished comic: i color the backgrounds using colors I like so that i find them more interesting to work with. they also have less contrast than the characters, so it looks great when i reduce it to greyscale

So for this prompt I hid the colour with an adjustment layer, painted in greyscale and just picked colour based on value. It came out very purple/pink.

Im starting to learn more and more about Greyscale and Overlay Technique, but despite that, I will still use the technique as a base and would still render some colors here and there to balance some shadings. i do like this technique cause it gave more definition of depth..
