we lived together for about 2-3 years. This tree is also the one who inspired me to draw 'sunday afternoon'
but the time had come
when I was very depressed, they died.
I always think we can share the feeling together

It's poetic that most of the good Hanna-Barbera cartoons were created right before the studio died. Kudos to the many artists who got that place out of its then-lifelong gutter, even if it didn't keep the place from going defunct. Got some good shows out of it, at least!

Beep beep. It's the birthday of Frederic Bazille (1841-1870) the pioneering Impressionist who died before the movement took off. He came from Montpellier. I remember recreating the works below in my Impressionism series. The light was exactly right. Just like the paintings.
