Chorico is very self-conscious of his natural markings, believing himself to be dull and unremarkable. To make up for this he wears a colourful fake crest made with feathers donated by friends. Some might think his getup garish but it's certainly noticable!

Phoenix wasn't always a brilliant, vibrant red. He was born a dull, grey ash colour. In fact, his egg shell even crumbled into dust. When he's old he will return to that same ash colour.
