So, I've been working on this Final Fantasy 8 animation based on an 11 yr old meme of [character] goes to the convenience store. Mine is modeled after this video of Cloud. It's getting there!

A combination of that, I modeled a simple hair shape and placed a few around (scaling, rotating and moving), trying to keep it a bit close to the original. The base mesh (that the hair is connected to) helps a lot too, and looks like this:
