On the left is the finished illustration of The Sun Card. On the right was my first attempt at the background, but was unhappy with the result. So, I decided to start over the bg and put more effort into it as you can see. If something doesn't look or feel right, you change it.

It's difficult to get my daughter to allow me to scan or take a pic of her artwork (she's too critical on herself). She is always unhappy with them, saying they aren't professional enough.
She loves doing characters, this one a tiefling. These are not her best works either.
