but I can actually do a lot more to make the motion here appealing and believable with just 7 frames at 12fps, than all 24 of those frames at 24fps.

やったことなかったので手描きの動画に合わせてポイント編集して中割りさせてみるテスト(途中)
24fpsで出すと違和感があるんで6fps4枚の絵を12fps8枚で出力。髪やスカートなんかは割とそれらしく見える感じ。ただ髪の上のところみたいに線が増減したり形が大きく変化するところの手間が大変そう。

There was this animation trend in 90's anime, of outline distortion to convey speed in a 12fps environment. Has since fallen out of fashion.
