80's stuff. 🦄 Man, I miss the 80s.

this is Lyla Brangwyn! she's a librarian with a special interest in the 1980s...only she lives far in an alternate future, after civilization has collapsed to like Mad Max levels and built up again!

この生成された絵を見て、1980年代頃に連載されていた少年漫画に出てくる喫茶店を経営する女性傭兵を思い出した。
This generated picture reminded me of a female mercenary who ran a coffee shop in a shonen manga serialized around the 1980s.

Good evening, Sir. I make illustrations and arts in the style of old science fiction publications and animated films from the 80s. The main theme is the unity and opposition of man and nature and classic sci-fi

In case you're new to his works, Mr. Koyasu has voiced many anime characters since the late 80s. He's also the voice of Zato from Guilty Gear.

I continue to enjoy the humanization of ION objects in the atmosphere of the 80s. You've seen that "old group photo" before, but Cracklin hid his face there. Here I tried to convey his defocused autistic look. Remember that your humanizations are valid too!

Good evening & thank you, very belatedly on my part, I'm afraid. In later life, Walter Steggles lived in Bradford-upon-Avon so he painted extensively in the area. Here's his depiction of "The Vale of Pewsey" from the mid to late 1980s. https://t.co/PRc4AQuz76

Vladimir Zarubin’s postcards (aka the cutest postcards in existence) featuring hares / rabbits. These are all from 1980s.

From my personal collection :)

More Rumbles - my original design sheet. Just a girl from the Bronx in the 80s. She doesn't understand your cell phone or therapy

Imho, late 80s. It was a mix of great art and creative choices, it wasn't quite as dark as the 90s, nor as goofy as it was previously. Also has quite a lot of badass illustrators from around that time that were on the spotlight... Terrible Dick Grayson fashion aside :P

To mark let's just remind ourselves of this shadiest of shade throwing posters from BR in the '80s... 😮‍💨

We can all agree that trains are better than planes, right?

Id like to see it in the OG DB style. Specifically how Toriyama used to draw the characters in the 80s. https://t.co/0qAl3zL374

Up for auction at Sotheby's: Daniel Gardner's intriguing watercolour portrait of a young dated to the 1780s.

Here's hoping that it lands somewhere where it will be available for research🤞

Let's go back to the 1st Dark Ages of American Animation, the late 60s to mid-80s. Like today, cartoonists were strongly discouraged from drawing sexy girls on TV, to protect The Children. "Beautiful" women characters were either blandly inoffensive, or kind of alien-looking.

In honor of Mauna Loa erupting today for the first time since the 80s... I've made some images of Pele, Hawaii's volcano goddess. 🔥

A handpick of Toona's designs over the years. Our Toona can only remember till 1939, which is right before she got the white in her eyes in 1940.

After Bygone's death in 1962, the company wanted to stop redesigning Toona, but continued in the '80s.

It was a pleasure to speak to artist Jonathan Comerford whose life was transformed after he walked into an Aberdeen printmaking studio in the 1980s. He has since battled apartheid and discrimination and wants new links between Aberdeen and Cape Town!
