It's most definitely possible that a future Superman film can make $1 billion dollars, if done correctly with a strong story and a fantastic antagonist. One who has never been on the big screen before, like Metallo, Brainiac, Silver Banshee, or even the introduction of Lobo.

That's fair. He is loosely based on both Thanos and Vader. That three circle thing that he had before looked like the symbol for Brainiac though. That seemed a bit over the line for me.
