The Quercus suber 🌱depicted here by Georg Dionysius Ehret in our Scent from Nature exhibition, produces a useful and sustainable material: cork. Lush are producing cork cosmetic pots, reducing the amount of plastic waste produced by the beauty industry #WorldEnvironmentDay2021
Well it seems I've gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. Magicly shoved down into a tight bottle and sealed off with a cork. At least I'll make a decent deceration. And all this magic should keep me nice and fresh untill i'm set free.
An awesome piece I got from @ShrapnelShark

In 1665 Robert Hooke published his most famous work Micrographia (”Small Drawings”). In it he included his studies and illustrations of the crystal structure of snowflakes and first used the word cell to name the microscopic honeycomb cavities in cork.5/
Two 'heron' illustrations for the 'Birds of Cork' book - Little Egret and Grey Heron. In September 1989 I had to beg for a lift to see my first Little Egret, at Belgooly in Cork. How times have changed! @EricTheBirdman @BirdWatchIE @wetlandsireland @WeBS_UK #heron #birdart
Ughhhh... Another potion that eats through it's cork. I really should invest in something else.
Anyways, this smells a lot like bread, but like, really really weird bread. I'm not super sure why it does, I didn't put bread into this one.
